Robertson Residence

DESCRIPTION: The Robertson residence is a country house with a passive and possibly active solar heating system, on the Ontario side of the Ottawa River. The structure is a simple cube linked to a servants’ residence by a screen porch, carport and sun deck. The split level plan is cut in two by a high top lit gallery housing an extensive art collection. The exterior aluminum siding echoes the farm vernacular of the area.
