Library of Parliament

DESCRIPTION: Full architectural services for the base building renovation and fit-up of the former Bank of Nova Scotia Building to house a new branch of the Library of Parliament.
The design preserved the existing heritage interiors while introducing a bold, modern design vocabulary to elements that included library stacks, administrative and support spaces, furniture and custom designed workstations. Superior environmental control was made possible by the integration of a dynamic buffer zone as well as individual controls at workstations.
